Mr Neil Kitchen is a Consultant Neurosurgeon specialising in Neuro-oncology. He was first appointed as a Consultant Neurosurgeon in 1995 at the National Hospital for Neurology & Neurosurgery, Queen Square, London where he is the Lead Neurosurgeon for Neuro-oncology. He is also the Medical Director for the Queen Square Gamma Knife Unit. He sees private patients at Wellington Hospital in London.
Mr Kitchen qualified in medicine at the University of Cambridge in 1986 and trained at Bart's Health, University College London Hospitals and Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge. He also holds a BSc degree in the History of Medicine from the Wellcome Institute.
Mr Kitchen has vast experience diagnosing, assessing and treating a range of conditions, including: cavernoma, trigeminal neuralgia and brain and central nervous system cancers. He is skilled in performing a number of procedures such as brain tumour surgery, intracranial microsurgery and Gamma Knife radiosurgery.
