Mr Thorne's clinical practice is distinguished by his specialised expertise in several key areas. He is particularly noted for his proficiency in awake surgery, a complex procedure that allows for real-time patient feedback during brain surgery, which is crucial for preserving critical neurological functions. He is also highly skilled in the use of Gamma Knife therapy, a precise form of radiosurgery used primarily for treating brain tumours and other neurological conditions.

In addition to his work with brain tumours, Mr Thorne has significant experience in spinal surgery and the conservative management of spinal conditions. He takes a holistic approach to spinal health, focusing not only on surgical interventions but also on non-invasive treatments to manage and alleviate spinal disorders. His expertise also extends to the treatment of hydrocephalus and facial pain, where he applies his considerable knowledge to improve patient outcomes.

Ms Sethi serves as a Regional Director for the Royal College of Surgeons (North East London). She also supports the college in various capacities, including as an RCS assessor and faculty member.
