Dr Fersht's areas of special interest are multifaceted, encompassing the treatment of brain oligometastases, meningiomas, and pituitary tumours. She is particularly committed to the care of teenagers and young adults aged 16 to 24 who are battling brain tumours, understanding the unique challenges faced by this age group. Her proficiency in advanced radiotherapy methods, including proton beam therapy and radiosurgery, enables her to offer tailored treatment plans that maximize efficacy while minimizing side effects.

A graduate of the University of Cambridge, Dr Fersht pursued her specialist training at The Royal Marsden and University College Hospitals. Demonstrating a profound commitment to research, her doctoral thesis focused on cell cycle checkpoints and was supervised by Nobel Laureate Sir Paul Nurse, reflecting her deep engagement with the foundational science underpinning oncology.
