Service Capability
We have a strong track record of ‘design and build’ radiotherapy centres to suit operational and commercial requirements for each customer. A partnership with a design and build healthcare specialists can provide a full ‘turnkey’ solution, in line with the required specification and timescale.
We work closely with our NHS customers, offering a variety of staffing solutions.
This includes shared staffing models to enable all staff to rota between different services and departments, which creates a strong partnership and increases standards of service delivery.
From the initial referral through to patient booking and management, planning and delivery of the Treatment and communicating with referrers, our team deliver a full, end to end service that provides flexibility, professionalism and responsiveness.
As a vendor-neutral company, we can offer a range of equipment from the leading manufacturers, including Varian and Elekta
We work closely with NHS partners to ensure seamless integration to IT. Unconstrained by NHS restrictions, we have access to capital investment to support the demand for oncology services.
Operating Models
Amethyst is experienced in partnering with a proven record of integration into existing NHS specialist pathways to delivery treatments that are aligned to local Trust specifications, working in synergy to ensure continuity of patient treatment journey.
All sites will have a robust clinical governance framework linked to NHS services: this will include:
- Fully integrated governance framework with dual policies/procedures into satellite services to deliver seamless patient care
- Seamless integration between services in Trusts local to centre.
- An integrated Quality Assurance system with overarching platforms has ensured governance and clinical operational delivery adheres to the existing high standards of care already been delivered.
- Standardised protocols and KPIs
- Electronic links for image capture, treatment planning, radiotherapy prescription and Electronic patient records
- Common IRMER and incident reporting
- Integrated MDT process utilising locally based clinical oncologists, supporting existing MDT process and maximising pathways to ensure they remain streamlined, ensuring any waiting list is managed fairly.
- Regular cross site engagement through formal service review meeting and informal daily operational meetings.
Partnership Models
Amethyst is flexible and experienced in operating under multiple partnership models across its international network including Managed Services Contracts, Profit Share, Revenue Share & Joint Ventures (JV)
Any commercial structure agreed will be Structure will be compliant with:
- IFRS 16 Lease Accounting – Structured to avoid capitalisation by ensuring asset control remains with the private partner.
- ESA10 Guidelines – Ensures private sector bears construction risk, demand risk, and availability risk.
